Wyatt has served as the University District Council Member for over a decade, addressing challenges affecting the entire city. He believes Buffalo requires a leader who can make tough, data-driven decisions to reduce inefficiencies and stabilize the budget rather than relying solely on taxation or borrowing.
Wyatt’s impressive background includes 15 years at Marine Midland Bank (now HSBC Bank USA) in various roles, where he managed significant financial operations. Additionally, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Commissioner for Business Compliance and Audit in Newport News, Virginia, saving the city $1.5 million through targeted audits.
As President of the National Association of Urban Bankers – Buffalo Chapter, Wyatt promotes financial literacy and economic empowerment for minority business owners, helping them secure funding and develop business plans.
With a master’s degree in organizational leadership and a bachelor’s degree in business, Wyatt aims to lead Buffalo with fiscal expertise. He envisions an operationally efficient city that provides high-quality services without overburdening residents with taxes or debt.
